About

Dr. Hamilton received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1993 from Transylvania University, and his medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. He completed all of his post graduate training from 1997 to 2002 at the University of Kansas Medical Center. This included Internship, Residency and serving as Chief Resident in General Surgery. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons Dr. Hamilton has been accomplished in General Surgery and Bariatric surgery for the past 10 years. He has practiced in Tennessee from 2002 to 2005 and Indiana from 2005 to 2012, where he served as Chief of Surgery form 2008 to 2010. Prior to returning to the Kansas City area, he also founded bariatric programs for Horizon Medical Center and Clark Memorial Hospital. Excited to be back in the Kansas City area and becoming a vital part of KC Bariatrics, Dr. Hamilton is enthusiastic about providing caring support for his patients. Whether through advanced procedures or the healthy lifestyle changes necessary; successful weight loss needs a multifaceted approach that he and KC Bariatrics provide to help ensure patients a lifetime of success.
